Product Details

Sophos PureMessage protects against both spam and viruses. Sophos PureMessage software scans incoming email for keywords and patterns common to spam, and also checks messages against a database of messages known to be spam. The software tags each suspect message by adding the word "spam" and a number of pound signs, to the subject line. The more spam-like components a message have, the more pound signs. Users may then use filtering functions built into email programs like Eudora and Outlook to redirect and sort the tagged messages into a separate mailbox, where they can be quickly scanned and deleted.

Sophos PureMessage checks all email traffic passing through your email server in real time, providing protection against mass-mailing worms and viruses at the gateway.

Sophos PureMessage also helps to enforce the users' email policy at the gateway.
