Summary

Description: Authoritative and caching DNS servers
Source: http://cr.yp.to/djbdns.html

Support

This package is available for all platforms. This package is unsupported and provided on an as-is basis.

Description

djbdns is a collection of Domain Name System tools. It includes a local DNS cache, a fast UDP-only DNS server, a load-balancing DNS server, a reverse DNS wall, an IP-address-listing DNS server for DNS-based RBL lists, a parallel IP-address-to-host-name converter, and simple command-line interfaces to DNS queries.

dnscache from this package is used as a caching name server on many of our servers, and tinydns is used to serve the .pobox.stanford.edu domain. Users of this package are encouraged to put "powered by djbdns" on their web pages.
