Description

JOVE is Jonathan's Own Version of Emacs. It is based on the original EMACS editor written at MIT by Richard Stallman. Although JOVE is meant to be compatible with EMACS, there are some major differences between the two editors and you shouldn't rely on their behaving identically.

Changes

4.16 2002-07-24

Various mostly minor changes, particularly internal portability changes. There have been some backward-incompatible changes to the initialization code, however, so your existing .joverc file may not work properly with the new version. See /usr/pubsw/doc/Editors/jove/README for more details.

Files

   Programs: jove teachjove
