Support

This package is available for all platforms. Supporting this package is a medium priority.

Description

XGobi is an interactive dynamic graphics program for data visualization in the X Window System, especially designed for the exploration of multivariate data. Its basic views are scatterplots and line drawings, which can be linked across multiple views. It supports real-time zoom and pan, 3-D data rotations, grand tours, correlation tours, projection pursuit, and other data exploration tools. It can also be used as a simple high-dimensional drawing program.

Changes

200204 2003-01-27

Many new extensions were added to xgvis, sphering is handled as a transformation rather than being buried inside touring code, improved the variable menus and variable transformations, added the Box-Cox family of transformations, new 1D plotting, improvements in axes, and many other improvements and bug fixes over the previously installed version. See /usr/pubsw/doc/Data/xgobi/Changes for all the details; XGobi had not been upgraded in about five years.
