PDA Community Support at Stanford
PDAs at Stanford are a large and rapidly growing support challenge. Several types of handheld devices are widespread on campus and are becoming more and more integrated into the way many faculty, staff, and students get their work done. The marketplace is rapidly changing and the technology itself is not yet mature, so support remains challenging.
To assist the support community with this effort, IT Services has created this site. The goal is simple: to share what we have with the support community, and provide a venue for the support community to share what they have with each other and with us. It serves as a collection point for documentation and instructions to help users setup their devices for use with things like the @stanford email system, Sundial, and Stanford's wireless network. There is a separate blog where you are encouraged to share your thoughts, comments, and suggestions on the site itself. Please let us know what you think.
On the left you will find a link to documents and downloads. We hope members of the IT support community will find these useful and contribute their own. Please note that information posted to or made available for download from this site may be provided from a variety of sources and comes without assurance that the content has been reviewed or tested by IT Services.
