Mailman Mailing Lists
Overview
IT Services is happy to bring a new feature-packed mail list package called Mailman! In addition to numerous new features including spam filtering, fully moderated lists, and list archiving with an integrated web interface, the Mailman package also delivers much better performance and reliability. We hope you enjoy this more powerful and flexible software.
Before you start using the list service, please read List Usage Policies and Guidelines for the appropriate use of this service.
What do you want to do?
Go to Mailman lists - here is where users can view and subscribe to publically visible lists, unsubscribe from lists, change their passwords, update their email addresses, and more.
Request a new list - only Stanford community members with a full-service SUNet ID may request a new list.
Manage the lists I own - only Stanford community members with a full-service SUNet ID can be a list owner and can login to manage their lists via this web interface. This link can be slow. If you know the name of the list you want to manage, use the link Jump to the list.
View the lists that I am a member of - only available if you subscribe to those lists with your full-service SUNet ID email address.
Use the clone list tool - a tool available to list owners who want to use one list as a template for updating the settings of a second list.
Mailman Documentation
Documentaion for both list members and list administrators is located at the Stanford Answers site linked below. To find solutions related to mailing lists, use the topic menu on the left of the screen to navigate first to Email and then to Mailing Lists.
