Stanford Desktop Tools is an application that simplifies the process of keeping your Stanford site-licensed software up-to-date. It lets you choose which applications you want to keep updated and how often you want to check for updates. Keeping your applications up-to-date allows you to have the latest, most secure, best performing versions of critical Stanford software..
Stanford Desktop Tools automatically checks for updates on the schedule that you specify and will notify you of all possible updates. You can then launch Stanford Desktop Tools at your convenience and install all the updates from within the tool.
You can also access Kerberos for Windows and Stanford OpenAFS functions from the Stanford Desktop Tools menu (if the applications are installed).

Notes
- When using Stanford Desktop to Tools to install Kerberos for Windows,
PC-Leland is automatically uninstalled (if it is installed on your
computer). Kerberos for Windows is the replacement for PC-Leland.
