Opening Personal and Confidential Calendars for Resources
Background
Some resource calendars had appointments categorized as Personal or Confidential
in Sundial. As with individual's calendars, these appointments were migrated
to a separate, identically named calendar so that access rights to the
appointments could be preserved.
The Find-a-Resource Zimlet used to locate a resource on the main Calendar will not at this time link to Personal or Confidential Calendars
for those resources. This page describes how users can manually link
to these calendars.
Opening personal and confidential resource calendars
- Login to Stanford Calendar via the Web.
- In the left-hand column right click (or Ctrl+click on a Mac) on
the word Calendars and choose Link to Shared Calendars.
- Enter the following information into the Link to Shared Calendar
window:
- Email Address: Copy and paste the email address for the resource from
the table below.
- Path: Enter either Personal or Confidential, depending on the calendar
you want to access.
- Name: This is the label your calendar will have in your list of calendars.
Edit the suggested name as desired.
- Color: Set to your preference.

- Click OK. The calendar should now appear in your list of calendars
in the left-hand column.
Lookup resource email address
Below is a table with all of the resources that had Personal or Confidential
calendars created during the migration from Sundial. You can copy and
paste the email address to help with the procedure described above for
accessing these calendars. An X appears in the Personal
and Confidential column to indicate that this type of calendar exists for this
resource.
