Link to a Shared Calendar

Access a Shared Calendar
Shared calendars are displayed in the left-hand column of the Calendar view in Stanford Email and Calendar. Generally, these are added by accepting a calendar share invitation via email. However, if you don’t have an email invitation, you can still access a shared calendar.
- Click the Calendar tab.

- Right-click (or
CTRL+click on a Mac) Calendars in the Overview pane and then click Link to Shared Calendar.

- Enter the following information in the Link to Shared Calendar dialog box:
- Email: enter the email address of the owner of the shared calendar
- Path: calendar
- Name (optional): the default is the user name in the email address but you can change it if you wish
- Color (optional): you can select a color for this calendar

- Click OK. The new shared calendar now appears in your list of Calendars. It is also displayed by default.

Note: To see the events on a calendar, click the checkbox next to the calendar name. To hide the calendar events, uncheck the box.
Remove a Shared Calendar from Your List
If you no longer need to view a shared calendar, you can remove it from your list. You can re-link to it later if you wish.
- Right-click (or CTRL+click on the Mac) the name of the calendar you wish to remove from your list and then click Delete.

- When prompted to confirm that you want to delete the calendar, click Yes.
Note: You are not deleting that calendar in its entirety. You are only removing it from your list of calendars to view.

- If you decide you need to see that individual's calendar later, follow the instructions to Access a Shared Calendar, above.
