This is a minor bug fix release that Zimbra plans to release in the Fall. We will evaluate the list of fixes included in this release and will schedule an upgrade if they will provide benefit to our users
Future Stanford Release:
Zimbra version 6.0.X (Implementation in early 2010*)
The General Availability date of version 6.0 is 8/31/09. However, we
don't expect to implement 6.x until at least version 6.0.2, likely to be
released by Zimbra no earlier than 10/31/09. Given the significant testing we plan
for this major release we anticipate upgrading in early 2010.
Enhancements and fixes expected in version 6*
- Sort mailbox by size of message.
- Ability to view more than 100 messages at a time.
- New UI Features.
- Fish-eye calendar view.
- Three panel horizontal message view for email.
- Separate tab for compose.
- Read receipt options.
- Enhanced calendar usability: List view for calendar appointments, improved printing of calendar layouts, and improved display of availability status for resource calendars when scheduling meetings.
- Admin can receive emails on meeting requests sent to their manager.
- Ability for users to fully manage sharing permissions from the Outlook Connector.
- GA release for Blackberry Connector.
