There are multiple version of BDB that can be used to link OpenLDAP with. Below are the general release-indepent options used to build BDB.

The compiler options we use for building BDB are:
CFLAGS='-O2'
CXXFLAGS='-O2'

The configure options we use for building BDB are:
--prefix=/usr/local
