ID cards

Getting a card

Eligible students, faculty and staff can obtain a Stanford ID Card at the Stanford Card Office. For more information call (650) 498-CARD or (8-2273).

Lost & stolen cards

Report lost or stolen cards immediately to the Stanford Card Office.

Damaged cards

If you are having a problem with your ID card (e.g., the card doesn't provide access to your office, you can't access the funds in your StanfordCardPlan account to buy lunch), fill out a HelpSU request at helpsu.stanford.edu.

Card Readers & cash-to-card machines

Report malfunctioning card readers/cash-to-card machines to (650) 725-HELP (5-4357) or fill out a HelpSU request at helpsu.stanford.edu. After hours and holiday trouble calls are answered around the clock by University operators, who refer system-wide problems to on-call repair technicians immediately, and individual user problems to the Systems Control Center at the start of the next business day.

The StanfordCardPlan

Direct questions about the StanfordCardPlan, loss-of-dollars complaints, or account balance questions to the Student Financial Services Office, telephone (650) 758-7526. To add cash to your StanfordCardPlan, use a Cash-to-Card machine or visit the Cashier's Office in the NW corner of the Old Union arcade. A refund of any non-zero balance may be requested through the University Student Financial Services Office.
