SUNet Video: Academic Cable TV (ATV)
Introduction
IT Services provides analog and digital access to educational TV channels in most campus buildings. Offerings include Stanford-specific programming designed to enrich the academic experience, as well as a variety of educational and entertainment programming. Use ATV in classrooms and conference rooms to view educational and news events. For special events, IT Services can provide satellite downlink services at most campus locations to bring a "live feed" for group viewing.
Four Levels of Service
You can choose from among four levels of service:
- ATV Basic—provides 44 channels, including: Stanford-specific programming such as SCPD (Stanford Center for Professional Development) and SCBN (the Stanford student channel); educational channels such as G4, NASA Select, and the History Channel; all major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC); news channels such as CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News; and many more.
- ATV Enhanced —includes all of the 44 ATV Basic channels, plus 39 digital channels: a suite of Discovery Channels (Science, Home & Living, Times, Military Channel, Health); 17 international channels, such as BBC America, Power TV Mandarin, ART Arabic, and TV-5 French; and many more.
- ATV Sports—includes all of the 38 ATV Basic channels, plus 16 sports channels: a suite of Fox Sports channels (Bay Area, Atlantic, Central, Pacfic, World); Gold Channel; a suite of ESPN channels; and more.
- ATV Premier—provides you with a combination of all three of the above channel packages, 81 channels in all—"the works"!
- ATV Digital HD—provides you with high definition viewing! (requires installation of ATV Premier service)

Rates
The one-time installation fee for ATV Basic is $24.95; for all other packages, the installation fee is $29.95. Current monthly charges are:
