Stanford in Washington Research Opportunities

Hopkins Marine Station

Ninety miles from campus on 10 acres of Monterey Bay coastland is Stanford's Hopkins Marine Station, the oldest marine laboratory on the Pacific Coast and the second oldest in the United States. A division of the Biological Sciences department, the station offers undergraduate courses in marine biology. Hopkins students live in Monterey while studying and conducting research with faculty members in residence at the station.
