Computer Resource Consulting

Stanford Bookstore Computer Store Service Center

The Stanford Bookstore Computer Store Service Center repairs Macintosh and PC systems, whether or not they are still under warranty. It offers on-campus pickup and delivery or customers can use the drop-off window located outside the Bookstore. The Computer Store Service Center's repair service is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For details, contact the Bookstore at 725-6136, extension 338.

Campus Hardware Maintenance Program (CHaMP)

CHaMP offers contracts for maintenance and repair of UNIX workstations and peripherals. Stanford's CHaMP manages the administrative end of the maintenance contracts while outside vendors provide on-site service. When a workstation breaks down, participants call the vendor directly to arrange a service call. For more information, send electronic mail to champ@sweet.stanford.edu or call 723-5625.

Telephone, Cable, and Network Trouble Reporting

IT Services repairs materials and equipment that support the Central Modem Pool and other Remote SUNet Access services, the SUNet computer network backbone, and the Stanford telecommunications and cable television networks. IT Services does not repair department-owned or individually-owned equipment (e.g., routers, servers, users' modems, or telecom equipment within individual departments or schools) unless that equipment is under a CNS warranty or CNS has contracted to provide for its maintenance.
