A Portion of the American Exhibit

While many critics expressed dismay at the relatively small size of the American exhibits, few could argue that "Brother Jonathan" demonstrated impressive industrial prowess. Singer's sewing machine, Colt's revolver and McCormick's reaper all represented American manufacturing ingenuity.
