| Dissatisfied with Elinor Monsell's "Lady Emer and Tree" pressmark, originally designed for the Dun Emer Press, Elizabeth Yeats eventually designed her own. Based on a line drawing, "Lone Tree in Irish Landscape" became the new official Cuala pressmark, although the Monsell pressmark occasionally appeared in certain later publications. Elizabeth Yeats's pressmark was first used in 1925 in Love's Bitter Sweet. |
