Through the many letters written to Lewis' boyhood friend, one can trace the progression of Lewis' passion for realism and reason. Greeves, a painter and Christian, was in constant contact with Lewis and it was Greeves throughout Lewis life that was often influenced Lewis, especially as Lewis became more sure that God certainly exists.
