What follows is a "virtual" exhibition created by a class on modern Britain
held at Stanford in the Spring Quarter in the Academic Year 1999-2000.
If possible, those in the class were to use resources from the special
collections of the Libraries and Museums at the University. The exhibition
consists of images and captions and then the equivalent of a catalogue
essay. My hope is that the students, through such a project, come to understand
Britain better and are also able to share with others their knowledge and
the resources at Stanford.
