Expedient Means : the inherent sanctity of All Existence (chp 9 Wisdom of the Lotus Sutra Vol 1)

 

 

But you and others already know

how the buddha, the teacher of the world

accord with what is appropriate in employing expedient means

you will have no more doubts and perplexities

but your mind fill with great joy

will know that you yourself will attain buddhahood.

The part “contains”the whole – Fractal Theory

 

An example lies in Biological research. Cells of different part of the body contains the same DNA code, so that they can develop individually while respecting the integrity and harmony of the body as a whole. Another example is that it’s believed that the right brain control our emotion while the left brain controls analytic skill. Yet there’s report that people borned without a left brain would have his right brain trained for analytical skill.

This shows that the potential of human brain is really beyond measure. It's us who limit ourselves in ability

 

The fractal theory echoes well with the theory of ten world. Each world contains the realm of the other ten world. Indeed, the universe also contains ten world. So it response to create entities (parts) that embrace the ten world – human lives. And by same argument, there would be lives in other planets.

 

The following best illustrate the integrity of the universe :Butterfly effect – the movement of a butterfly in one place may trigger storms in thousand of kilometer away : Our universe is strongly correlated and entangled.

Buddhism is by far the closest to the true aspect of the universe. Buddhism is a humble search for the law of human life, while science deal with the temporary aspects of science.

 

We need science that does not alienate people but give them inspiration and courage

 

Dynamical nature of the universe :

 

The universe is ever-changing and non-static, as illustrated through the concept of relativity and uncertainty principle :

 

Relativity : Space and time are correlated to form a 4 dimensional continuum

 

Uncertainty principle : We can measure position and momentum with simulataneous accuracy.

 

Toda : Explanation of the True aspect of all pheonomenon

 

Ultimately, each instant of existence should be called the "thus come one". Not only our lives but all things in the universe never cease to change, not even for the briefest instant. They are transformed again from one moment to the next. Since every single thing is constantly changing. A house is a house, the house itself is ever changing. It turns into dust, from dust into clods, and continue disintegrate.

 

When we see things for what they're. This is called the principle of temporary existence. And since these phenomenon are temporary, they're not real. In that aspect, they're nonsubstantial - This is the principle of nonsubstiality. If we look at each moment as existing just as it is that is the Middle Way, So the appearance and nature of all things, their moment to moment existence, are the true aspect. Our moment by moment existence and lives are also true aspect and in that momentary true aspect, all life from the  beginningless past is included, as well as all life into the infinite future. The single instant of life contains the effect of all our past lives and the causes of all our future lives. This is the law of the Lotus, the law of cause and effect.

 

The single instant of life is the activity of the universe itself, our own life and its actual

existence. The activity of the universe from moment to moment is constantly changing and manifest itself as various phenomena, all of which a undergoing a transformation within that activity. This is what we call "Transcendental powers". It is not a matter of someone bestowing some kind of power on us. What is means is the free and unrestricted transformation of all  universal phenomena,in response to all other activity therein, represent the true aspect of the universe.

  

The activity of the universe from moment to moment

Every entity of the universe are changing, transforming

Here perfections refers to the value of Benefit, the value of Beauty and the value of good

I view things through Buddha eye

I see the living beings in the six paths

how poor and distract they're, without merit or wisdom.

how they enter the perilous road of birth and death

their suffering continue with never a break ...

enter deeply into erroneous views,

hoping to shed suffering through greater suffering

For the sake of these living beings,

I summon up a mind of great compassion
