Have you ever paused for a while and pondered, why I'm here, born to this family, this city, this nation, in this time and place in this universe ? What's before and what would be after ?
Have you ever felt certain things keep recurring in your lives ? Keep committing the same mistakes, quarrelling with the same type of persons ...
Have you tried so hard to change X, Y and Z of yourself, only to find X, Y and Z coming back again when you slacken in your resolve ?
Do you believe there're something karmic, something born innate with you, that you have no power to change; Some destinations you're destined to head towards ?
Then come for an evening discussion about the Buddhist perspective of KARMA. To learn about its origin and the scope it would play in our lives, and more importantly, how we can harness our "Karmic Power" and direct it to the positive direction.
The moment we make our resolves, our karma is instantly changed.
To direct our angry nature into wrath for injustice; To turn our greed into motivation for improvement; To transform our ignorance into reminder for humbleness; To rise above our past sorrows and be compassionate to the misfortunes; To realize our inevitable karma of death and live our lives fully at each moment. According to Buddhist teachings, it all lies in our determination and faith to challenge our karma.
Buddhism 101: It is okay to fear, to have doubts, to feel insecure. It is not okay to leave our problems unchallenged.
