What: "What I Did Last Summer" Panel with lunch
When: Tuesday, Jan 10th at 11:30am to 1:00pm

WiCS will be holding a panel discussing summer opportunities and providing advice on navigating the difficult process of applying for jobs/internships before the upcoming Computer Forum career fair. To make this panel great, we need a diverse group of panelists with backgrounds in different parts of industry or research, different size companies, etc. If you would like to be a panelist and tell others about your experience this past summer, please fill out the interest form here.

Come ice skating with employees of Dropbox! Meet early employees, software engineers, designers, team leads, and more. This is your chance to have fun and meet the crew. Event organized by Professor Steve Cooper: Sheryl Sandberg, the Chief Operation Officer at Facebook, will be coming to Stanford to speak to the female computing students. She'll be speaking for about a half hour, followed by Q&A, and then a reception. Please RSVP on Facebook.

WiCS will be hosting a lunch with Jane Street, a quantitative proprietary trading firm (http://www.janestreet.com/). You will have the opportunity to chat with a developer from Jane Street who will be joining us! We will meet at the front door of Gates then walk to Coupa Cafe in Y2E2 to have lunch. For the first WiCS event of the quarter, we're walking the trail around the Dish ! Come to meet the newest WiCS members and talk to your friends after the summer break.
