ASSOCIATE COACH
AMY TUCKER

Amy Tucker is entering her 10th year as a member of Tara VanDerveer's staff at Stanford. An associate coach, Amy acts as the recruiting coordinator for VanDerveer. She is also most closely involved with Stanford's tournament, the Fry's/Cardinal Classic. In addition, she concentrates on the wing players.

For the previous eight years (prior to Stanford), Tucker had been associated with Ohio State University. Amy first was a player (1978-82), then a graduate assistant coach (1983-84), then was officially named an assistant coach under Tara VanDerveer. When VanDerveer accepted the position at Stanford, Tucker's decision to follow was a rather easy one.

In the fall of 1994, Amy was officially inducted into Ohio State's Athletic Hall of Fame.

Tucker came to Ohio State from Springboro High School, where she set scoring records in the Ohio High School Athletic Association championship (OHSAA) during her final year. Then at Ohio State, she led her squad in scoring for two separate seasons, finishing as the Buckeyes' second all-time leading scorer. She also set a career Ohio State record for games played with 123. In her senior year, she was named an GTE/COSIDA Academic All-American.

Tucker earned her Bachelor's degree from OSU in 1982, then added a Master's degree in `84.
