ASSISTANT COACH
CAROLYN JENKINS


Carolyn Jenkins, a former four-year letterwinner at Cal, begins her fourth year as an assistant coach under Tara VanDerveer. A native of Fresno, Jenkins graduated from the University of California in June, 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Prior to joining Stanford, she worked as a financial analyst in Silicon Valley.

At Stanford, Jenkins' duties include practice coaching, scouting, and on-campus recruiting. She is also involved in promotions and conditioning.

At Cal, Jenkins played all four years under Foster. In her junior year (1988-89), she made the California Invitational All-Tourney team.

Prior to Cal, Jenkins graduated from San Joaquin Memorial High School in 1986. In her senior year, she became the first player in San Joaquin Valley history to play in three high school valley championships--in volleyball, basketball, and softball. She was the Valley Player of the Year in basketball that season. She was also First Team All-Valley in the other two sports.

She was League MVP in basketball her last two years. She was Team MVP in basketball all four years, and in volleyball and softball her last two years each.
