Was the "Abominable Snowman" an Aryan?

Standartenführer SS, Dr Ernst Schäfer's expedition to Tibet had a rather remarkable task: to prove that the "Yeti" or "Abominable Snowman" was in fact, the missing link, an unknown primate ancestor of the Germans, and progenitor of the Aryan race! Of course Dr Schäfer, a swashbuckling ornithologist went about this task diligently and thoroughly researched the legend. He documented his efforts in Geheimnis Tibet: erster Bericht der deutschen Tibetexpedition, 1938.  He writes how he took casts of the massive footprints that he found, and came to startling conclusion: the yeti was a large bear.  "They would have killed me if I told them," he was quoted as saying after the war.  Dr Schäfer came to this conclusion after he compared how a yak had been killed by a yeti and the wounds inflicted when another yak had been killed by a simple bear.  Yet even the Nazis could not corner the elusive "Bigfoot" and the bear theory has come under close scrutiny and many have rejected it.
