Women's soccer

Miles Seeley said the Saudi team, which has royal support, is pretty good . John Heelan retorts: "Germany 8 - Saudi Arabia nil (Enough said?)". I bet the Saudi women despise the team. I would like to see a Saudi women's team. Is there a women's team in any Muslim country? John also answers my question: "In the good old days, soccer was a man's game in England and Europe generally. Women's soccer seems to be an American invention. Is it now practised in England, etc?" John reports: "Women's soccer is alive and well in the UK with many matches most weeks. The latest hit movie, "Bend it like Beckham" (referring to the brilliant player and current captain of the English side) is about women's soccer, the soccer-playing heroine being the daughter of an Asian immigrant". Asian? meaning what? Do Muslim soccer crowds interrupt their matches to pray at the appointed hour? Must be a little crowded in the stands (aka bleachers). When and where is the next women's world cup taking place?
