PHILIPPINES: A powder keg?

Bienvenido Macario sends me an editorial from the opposition Daily Tribune, which accuses the US of fomenting chaos in the Philippines for its own ends. It is an absurd example of how third world politicians use the US as a punching bag. Here is an extract:

"Samuel Huntington is a top ideologue of David Rockefeller and the Trilateral Commission, the global oligarchs seeking to establish a global order of, for and by the Oligarchy. Huntington is author of the infamous book The Clash of Civilizations that launched the careers of the likes of Osama bin Laden by introducing the idea of Islam versus the rest of the world. In the global clash and chaos, the Oligarchy escapes the wrath of nations it exploits and oppresses. Ramos is the only Filipino leader ever invited before the Royal Institute of International Affairs-the Oligarchy’s main policy body.

I texted my advice to my friends: Turn the destabilization against the destabilizers. Use the sense of crisis for education and organizing. Then, we move like the caserolazos (Argentina's caserolas bangers) to restore the Constitutional order with faithful military and police leaders, institute elections, call a debt moratorium, capital controls, and prosecute the true plunderers from Makati and the Oligarchy' s agents in the Philippines. (My e-mail: htlfam@pacific.net.ph; tune to 558AM Sat. 10pm and Sun. 9pm) "

My comment: the Royal Institute of International Affairs is of course the London counterpart of the Council on Foreign Relations. I have omitted all the sections with the names of Philippine politicians, which would confuse the outsider.
