Paul Pitlick comments: Let me get this straight. Let's pretend I'm Tom Joad's grandson. As you recall, the bank foreclosed my great-grandparents' farm during the depression, and there wasn't much to do but go to California. So my family settled somewhere around Bakersfield. Let's say someone breaks into my house and steals my computer. Sounds like I should just go back to Oklahoma and steal someone else's computer.
