The Millennium

     I have a great affection for Dwight Peterson so I will not show his message to the King of Tonga. I agree that the dispute should not create ill will. He writes:
     "I must agree with Michael Bassett that Mt. Hakepa on Pitt Island is the first inhabited site to see the sun usher in the new Millennium. "Islands" magazine had a nice article on it last month. However, I don't see that it has any effect on our own joy and euphoria in welcoming our own new century and millennium amongst Waisers and other families."
