Japan: V-J Day

     Good WAISer Edith Coliver workd for years at the Asia Foundation. She sends a special note on her interest in Asia:
     My husband was a Major at McArthur's headquarters and was with him on the "Missouri" at the time of the signing of the surrender document. He had a copy, beautifully bound in red leather, which he sold at a good price. Pity.
