JAPAN: Hiroshima and the Bomb

We are grateful to H. Lyman Miller for jogging our memory about the chronology of the end of World War II. I knew the sequence, but had forgotten the dates:

"The first atom bomb test ("Trinity") was detonated in New Mexico on 16 July 1945, a little more than two months after V-E day (May 9)."
