The Conversion of Clare Booth Luce

Edith Coliver comments on Clare Booth Luce after her conversion:
"Can't resist telling a joke about Clare Booth Luce after her conversion and during her ambassadorship in Italy (my husband and I were stationed there at the time). The story goes that Mrs. Luce had an audience with the Pope that was to last fifteen minutes, in private. The audience went on for twenty, twenty-five, thirty minutes, and his entourage became concerned. One of his retainers looked through the keyhole to find out what was going on. All he could hear the Pope saying: "but, but.....but.........but, Madame, I am already a Catholic."
My comment: Do you know the story about Jim Farley's conversation with the Pope?
