We have repeatedly warned of two dangers facing the United States: an ethnic breakup and the proliferation of legalized gambling, which opens the door to organized crime.

These two dangers face Israel too as the May elections for prime minister and parliament approach. Hitherto there were religious differences. but the main ethnic split was between northern Jews and the more conservative southern (Sephardic) ones. Now there are 56 parties, several of them ethnic: Russian, Moroccan, Romanian, etc,

There is also a Casino Party, encouraged by the success of the Casino in Jericho, patronized mostly be Jews from Israel. The party claims that gambling parlors throughout Israel will ease the economic crisis.

Whereas the danger is that the U.S.may become a Yugoslavia write large, Israel many become a U.S. writ small.
