FRANCE: Morris on food

From France, Francophile Christopher Jones expresses his opinion of Francophobe author Dick Morris: "Yet again, I find myself wholeheartedly agreeing with Cameron Sawyer. Its now becoming downright monotonous. The wonderful reception French cycling fans have given Lance Armstrong who is set to win today the Tour de France should dispel forever these idiots who on both sides try to compensate for their own physical inadequacies with jingoistic, moronic language. French cooking, wines and alimentary products in general are indeed the zenith of the culinary art. I challenge anybody to come here and give it a try. As for the crazy statements of French who denounce the US as barbaric and cultureless, I can only say that its the other side of the same coin. My greatest criticism of current US cultural policies (or lack of them) is the promotion of US crap instead of the marvels the US is really capable of -- starting with US museums like the Metropolitan in NYC".

RH: True, but cycling in a big circle desperately fast without looking at the scenery is not the Metropolitan Museum. As one who has cycled all over Europe visiting churches and museums, I propose a slow Tour de France, following my example. All the winner of the Tour de France gets is a lot of silly applause and a yellow T shirt. I don't feel the need for either.
