Daryl DeBell comments on the old victims of the heat wave in France:
"It seems to me that the deaths due to the heat in France are more due to ignorance or stupidity than they are a medical problem. All it takes to beat the heat is some water and a piece of cloth. Enough cooling would be provided to avoid heat stroke. I think it's unfair to blame the children. How would they know it was going to be hot? Or that the old ones wouldn't think to cool themselves in a tub or with cold, wet cloths?"

RH:
Well, did the children call to find out if they were well? Probably some of the old people could not move. Did the children rush home?
