CHILE: Miracleman Pinochet

Carlos Lopez explains his experiences in Chile: "I lost a brother to police brutality in Chile. I was fired from my job as consular agent for questioning the jailing of people, the human rights issue came later. I was later reinstated. I do not approve of the violation of human rights or the death of even one Chilean, or any othr human being for that matter. But that there was progress during the Pinochet years cannot be denied. And is anyone questioning the fact that Chile managed to stay out of war?"
