Balkanization

     Hoover Achivist Elena Danielson has opened the Asian Pandora´s box. There is a fear that the East Timor situation may lead to the breakup of Indonesia. Elena writes:
     Yung Wei of Taiwan has developed a theory of multi-system nations and linkage to provide a conceptual framework for the peaceful integration of various communities in a region. Taiwan has its own difficulties with the traditional nation-state concept.
