Bill Ihrie

Bill Ihrie is a seasoned executive with some 40 years of experience in the software industry. Most recently he was a Senior Vice President at Intuit for over eight years – six as Chief Technology Officer, and two running product development for Small Business, which is over half of the company’s revenue. Prior to Intuit, Bill was Senior Vice President at ADP for ten years, running Product Development and business strategy for the Claims Solutions and Dealer Services divisions. Previous Bill was also at Security Pacific Bank, Computer Usage Company and Bell Labs. Mr. Ihrie earned BS degrees in mathematics and management from M.I.T, and his Master of Arts degree in computer science from U.C. Berkeley. Some accomplishments Bill has most enjoyed are helping his companies grow by over $3BB; hiring and creating jobs for some 2000 people; helping Intuit become the best software company to work for in the US for the past five years; leading the creation of Intuit India; beating Microsoft more than once on head-to-head products; and producing the first automated letter-of-credit system, the leading bank payment and cash management system, the first book printed directly from a computer, the first professional scoreboard driven by computer and with animation, and industry-leading suites of products for car dealerships, repair shops and small businesses. Currently Bill consults, participates on Boards, teaches, is active in church and volunteer work, and enjoys time with his wife and daughter in northern California.
