Testimony A Cappella is Stanford University’s Christian a cappella group, one of only a few such groups on the West Coast. Founded in 1991 by a handful of students and now entering its 15th year of existence, Testimony offers its music to the Stanford community through free concerts and dorm shows, which include songs, skits, and a testimony given by a member of the group. Each winter break, Testimony goes on tour to offer its music across the nation, combining music and sharing God's love in practical ways by visiting hospitals, churches, schools, soup kitchens, and homes for senior citizens. Recent tours have brought Testimony to locations such as Seattle, Southern California, Washington D.C., New York City, and even internationally to Vancouver, B.C.
The group is dedicated to the growth of its members and the extension of God's love. Singers grow as musicians through Testimony’s signature intricate background vocals and precise harmonies. They grow in faith through their tenure with the group as they learn to look for opportunities to serve in the community around them and the world at large.
If you are interested in joining Testimony, we hold auditions at the beginning of each school year. Keep your ears open for audition times, check back at this website, or contact us.
"And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see [it], and fear, and shall trust in the LORD."
