“Join Us…” Want to be part of The Collective? Whether you're a seasoned slam poet or simply testing the waters, we're looking for unique style and fresh voices to add. See below for times and locations. If nothing else, come for the snacks.

2008 auditions will be held in four different sessions:

  • Saturday, October 4th 12-2pm
  • Saturday, October 4th 2-4pm
  • Sunday October 5th 12-2pm
  • Sunday October 5th 2-4pm

Where?

The Native American Cultural Center
(Located in Old Union, Clubhouse side)

Stop by White Plaza Tuesday, Sept. 23rd - 25th from 11AM - 2PM and at the Activities Fair Friday Sept. 26th from 12-4pm to chat and sign up to audition!

The Particulars:
Things you'll need:

  • A pen, pencil, or charcoal stick
  • Paper, papyrus, or silk
  • An original piece to perform -- five minutes or less. You don't have to memorize it
When & Where. Why? Because you’ll rock it.

Represent. While two hours seems impossibly long, you won't be speaking the entire time. You'll be auditioning with up to fourteen other people and get to hear others perform as well. Come prepared with pen, paper, and an original piece (five minutes or less). We'll take you through a few writing activities and hear you perform.
