- Advanced Level - One to Two years learning and dancing tango is recommended
Those at the advanced level will benefit by taking both the Intermediate and Advanced Levels.
If in doubt take a lower level, you can always change. Just respect that if your skills are not sufficient, you can hinder the progress of those in the more advanced classes.
These are general guide lines. Those with more dance experience or who have taken many, many tango classes and attended practicas and milongas regualarly may advance more quickly.
Tango is a difficult dance. It takes at least two years to dance proficiently, although you will have fun dancing after about 6 months. However a good foundation is important. Even advance dancers, when they dance socialial use mostly the skills and steps learnt in the Basic Classes, NOT fancy intricate steps. So don't pressure yourself to advance too fast.
