Directions to the Bechtel International Center, map

If you know how to get to the Stanford Campus, but don't know the location of the Bechtel International Center, here is a link to a map of the Stanford Campus, with the Bechtel International Center circled in red. Clicking on the red circle will make it zoom in and show more details. To avoid confusion, please note that these maps are NOT in the usual north-south orientation!

Following are directions to the Bechtel International Center from both major freeways:

From I-280:

Take the Page Mill Road exit east towards Palo Alto/Stanford. Follow Page Mill Road to the Junipero Serra/Foothill Expressway intersection. Turn left onto Junipero Serra and follow it past Stanford Avenue to Campus Drive East (the second traffic light), where you turn right. Now you're on campus, so watch the 25 mph speed limit. The first 4-way stop intersection is at Mayfield Avenue. Turn left onto Mayfield and left again at the next stop sign (you don't really have another choice there). To your right, there will be a fraternity house followed by a parking lot and the Bechtel International Center. Find a convenient parking space; parking is free after 5 PM and on weekends.

From 101:

Exit at Embarcadero Road West/Stanford University. Follow Embarcadero Road through Palo Alto (watch the speed limit; it's 25 mph). Finally you will cross El Camino Real and enter Stanford campus. Stay in the left lane when the road splits in two. At the first stop sign on Campus Drive, turn left. Follow Campus Drive for a while; you'll pass Serra Street, Escondido Road, Bowdoin, and Alvarado. The next cross street is Mayfield Avenue, where you turn right. Turn left at the next stop sign (you don't really have another choice there). To your right, there will be a fraternity house followed by a parking lot and the Bechtel International Center. Find a convenient parking space; parking is free after 5 PM and on weekends.
