Wrapping things up...
Happy belated Thanksgiving and welcome back to the farm! After a week of relaxation, Stanford Women in Business is charged up and ready to go with the last 2 events of the quarter.
We have had a successful first quarter thus far, with the Power Panel, Business101 Case Interview workshop, and various Business Bites. This week we shift in focus to the second part of our mission: build community. The Mentor Mocha and Winter Open House are opportunities to meet other members and the SWIB leadership. If you have suggestions for future events, or feedback from this quarter, we would love to have you just drop by and share your thoughts.
It's never too soon to start extending your network - you never know who you might meet here at Stanford! We look forward to seeing you at these final events.
Also stay tuned for news about our upcoming all campus Winter 2007 Business Conference: "I Don't Know to CEO"!

- Give feedback on the events of the quarter and give suggestions for upcoming events.
- Learn how you can be involved in the planning and execution of the Winter Business Conference, “From I Don’t Know to CEO”.
- Get career and academic advice and resume reviews by a handful of SWIB graduating seniors who will be on hand to offer their guidance.

Past Events Recap
Business Bites with Goldman Sachs
The Goldman Sachs Business Bites was a great opportunity for SWIB members to begin positioning themselves for a career in finance. Sandra Litani of Goldman Sachs spoke candidly with SWIB members about academics, the GS interview process, and the importance of student groups like Stanford Women in Business. The attendees were encouraged to maintain a dialogue with Ms. Litani as their career interests evolve and they wish to learn more about finance. Litani was helpful, receptive, and full of advice for our members.
Wall Street Women
The November 9th Women on Wall Street Luncheon co-sponsored by Stanford Women in Business and Lehman Brothers was a fantastic event featuring entry level analysts to a female Vice President. The attendees enjoyed an Italian lunch while chatting with Lehman Brothers women about work/life balance, career preparation, internship opportunities, non-investmant banking positions, and general company structure.
