Appendix 8 — Printed Sources of Names and Registry Numbers

Printed sources that list chemical names and CAS Registry Numbers are available. These are useful when you need to get a trade name or complete name to use for searching for a Registry Number. Often names from these sources will be on the REGISTRY File. Names from informal lists that are not widely used may not be on the REGISTRY File. PLEASE NOTE: CAS does not guarantee the accuracy of Registry Numbers on lists produced by other organizations.
