Medical Services at Vaden Health Center offers diagnosis, treatment, and referrals for medical complications of sexual assault, and for violence-related problems. Survivors are urged to seek appropriate medical evaluation as promptly as possible. W.O.M.A.N., Inc. in San Francisco has a 24-hour crisis line, support groups and drop-in groups, lesbian domestic violence groups, individual counseling, and a temporary restraining order clinic. They also make referrals made to local shelters as well as to bilingual counselors (Cantonese, Japanese, Spanish, and Farsi).

Community Solutions offers 24-hour crisis intervention and a battered women's shelter (La Isla Pacifica). Counseling, support groups, social services, and advocacy are available along with temporary restraining order assistance and help locating permanent housing.
