Purpose

The Stanford University Postdoc Association (SUPD) was founded in 1998 to promote the building of community among the approximately 1500 postdoctoral fellows at Stanford University. There are two main working committees of the SUPD:

The Social Committee

The efforts of the Social Committee are aimed at fostering social and professional interactions among postdocs from all across the university. The committee organizes parties, hikes, picnics and other social events.

The Postdoc Council (SUPD-Council)

The SUPD-Council was formed in the spring of 1999 and is focused on addressing issues facing postdocs at Stanford. The goal of the SUPD-Council is to improve conditions for all Postdoctoral Fellows at Stanford by acting as an advisory group to the Administration and Faculty.
