SUMO TUTORING

Are you interested in helping junior high and high school students?
SUMO is starting a tutoring program for kids at local schools, and we're looking for people who would like to work with these students. The goal of the program is to reach out to students through a combination of exciting demonstrations and hands-on opportunities. We welcome any level of participation from people interested in joining, as the number of hours you would like to help out is very flexible. If you are interested, please contact Ani Manichaikul (amanicha@stanford.edu) or Calvin Miaw (cmiaw@stanford.edu) for more details.

Presentations at Local High Schools
We have a speaker series for high school students, called the Stanford Explorations Series. If you're interested in that, go here. This quarter, we will begin to bring such lectures to classrooms at local high schools. We plan to arrange for small groups of Stanford students (this means you!) to visit high schools during the school day, and present fun, hands-on, math activities to high school math classes. If you think you'd like to participate, please email Ani at amanicha@stanford.edu.
