This year's An Art Affair featured enormous talent from student artists, musicians and performers. Throughout the three day event, passersby were inspired by the creativity flowing through White Plaza.  On Thursday, visual artists and film makers celebrated the opening of two full tents of outstanding artwork. At the dessert reception and throughout the festival, viewers were encouraged to vote for their favorite works of art on the new creativity network website, Backlight.org.  The People's Choice Award contest (see winner's art below) ended in a three way tie between talented artists Sasha Engelmann, Eric Giddings and Sarah Mummah.  Friday and Saturday were booked with performances on two separate stages, including a night time performance of the winter one act play, "Bloodsong."  Graffiti artists and members of the new ceramics studio came out to do demonstrations, inviting anyone who passed to join in the fun.  The festival culminated with the Soundtrack Release Party at EBF featuring performances by many of the musicians on 2009's soundtrack.  On such a beautiful spring weekend, students and faculty all remarked how wonderful it was to hang out in White Plaza and in the Claw fountain enjoying Stanford's astonishing artistic talent.
