Bria Long, Flow - ASSU Arts Grant Recipient, Winter 2009

The second cycle of the ASSU Arts Grant Program, restablished this year, was an overwhelming success. Grantee works premeired in the large white tents of An Art Affair this past weekend, with an artist's reception under the lights on Thursday Night. With projects ranging from large triptych canvases by Emma Webster and Bria Long (see above) to photographs by Mae Ryan and Kerry Mahuron, the Arts Grant Board once again funded a diverse and talented group of student artists. With special fees from the Student Organizing Committe for the Arts (SOCA) established for next year, the ASSU Arts Grant Program promises to be a vital source of funding for student artists in the future.
