This year, at the 10th annual An Art Affair festival (April 16 - 18, 2009), participants are asked to add their creations to the new online creativity network, Backlight.org, created by Stanford alums. The creations from Art Affair participants are being added to an online gallery, which you can view here. The Student Organizing Committee for the Arts (SOCA) is very excited for this new partnership, which is not only facilitating taking high-quality photos of student's work, but also creating an incredible online community of Stanford artists. The Backlight gallery will also facilitate the voting for the People's Choice Award for visual arts at An Art Affair. Festival visitors will be encouraged to vote for their top-three favorite pieces, and submit their votes electronically at the Backlight station (located in White Plaza).
